Visakha Puja Night 2569 (2026)

As for many years already, the celebration of the Buddha’s birth, full awakening, and final passing away - the Visakha Puja festival - is held at Wat Pah Nanachat by spending a long night of recollection of the life of the Buddha together in the main Sala, with a “Wheel of Dhamma” (Dhammacakka) formed out of candles in the center. The relevant passages from the original texts in the Buddhist canonical scriptures are read out both in Thai and English translation. The Sangha and the lay-community take equal turns in these readings, and the diversity of accents within such an international group reminds all of us that the teachings of the Buddha are truly of universal nature.
